Day 32

So I sign on blogger. I enjoy reading people's new posts, but I couldn't cause my whole section where new entries are suppose to be was filled with new entries of Dustin's blogs. Lol. Litterally the whole section! I'm scrolling down and all i see is "There's more that meets the eyes" haha.

Well anyways, you know where's the best place to think? In the bathroom. Seriously! I'm taking a shower and I'm thinking about confessions. I did my first reconciliation this past monday. I confessed most of my sins, the ones I could remember. Now that I think of it, I did those same sins in less than a week. Now I am no saint, I am a sinner. What makes me wonder is how people, like myself, confess their sins KNOWING that they will do it again. Stuff like swearing, disobeying your parents, gossiping, lust, envy, hate, and that word that means eating too much; It's hard to not do these things, it really is! But the thing is, none of us really try to not sin. We do it off instict, reflex, every day basis; we do it cause we are use to it. Yet, we know it's bad but we never try to prevent it.

Confessions is when God forgives us for our sins. We don't need to go to a priest and ask for forgiveness. Pray on it. And as you do, ask God to give you the strength to not sin. I do it every night, and though I still sin, God answered my prayers. I haven't drank alcohol in months, neither did I smoke (yeah i smoked before), I barely swear, I never question God's exsistence, I don't steal, I've been keeping the sabbath day holy EVERY SUNDAY (YAY MAI). I've become better than I used to be. Yeah I still sin, yeah I go to reconciliation to get forgiven for the sins that I'll probably just commit again, but I honestly try not to sin. And yes, it's VERY hard to not sin. Temptation is so evil! It's just the matter of how much you love God to resist temptation.

You know how people say that every time you sin, it's like nailing Jesus to the cross. I honestly don't believe that. Jesus died so that our sins could be forgiven. I'm not saying to go and sin cause God will forgive us cause Jesus already died for us. NO! I mean that you shouldn't think about how all your sins are killing Jesus, but how you ask for forgiveness is allowing him to live in us. Just please, the next time you go to reconciliation or ask God for forgiveness, mean it from your heart. Confess it so that it will never happen again. Do your best to resist temptation.

Day 32: " If we confess our sins to God, he will keep His promise and do what is right: he will forgive us for our sins and purify us from all our wrong doing." 1 John 1:9
