Lesson never learned

So last night the power went off island wide. I can just imagine what it looked like from bird's eye view. How many times has this happened this past month? You would think the electric company would find out what the problem was and would learn to never let it happen again, right? I guess the power would have to go out 20 more times until the workers learn a lesson.

I can't blame 'em. It's not easy to not make the same mistake more than twice. My dad always told me when you do something wrong the first time, its ok cause its a mistake. You do it again for the second time, then your stupid. You do it again the third time, your a dumb ass.

I must be a fricken stupid dumb ass for commiting the same crime more than I can even count. Yeah I've stolen things and before I feel guilty enough for taking them, I end up breaking it before I get the chance to return it. Well I return it anyways and as expected, things start to feel awkward and I get this huge guilt trip. I tell myself I would never do it again yet another thing comes along and thinking the outcome would be different, I 'take a risk' at stealing it.

Of course I'm not talking about real stealing such as robbing the bank. No, it was a metaphor. But arrest me, why don't you. I'm just gonna end up doing it again.
